I have often been very regimental when it comes to who controls the music in my own car on a road trip. I believe it’s the driver’s right to take charge as long as it’s not detrimental to the sing-a-long levels of the road trip. I hope you will agree or you shall never know the joys of hitching a ride in my 207 Cielo.
I am pleased to see that Burger King in Japan seem to agree with me and think that listening to your own tunes is a human right, as their new stores will be fitted with iPod docks that connect to a sound shower type contraption that allows your music to be played at your table and only heard at your table. Very cool I must say.
It certainly ties in with their ‘Have it your way’ slogan in the UK. Not sure if they have that in Japan but either way, customising your eating experience comes as no surprise. No doubt this will increase dwell time which could be seen as a curse for a fast food joint, especially if those pesky kids start to loiter. If it does come to the UK though, at least it will be better than the tinny sounds of N-Dubz coming out of a mobile phone.
